Founded 22 February, 1996 as a Florida 501(c) non-profit corporation, the Polish American Engineers Association of Florida Inc exists not only as a social organization but also to award financial aid to deserving university students who need assistance to finish their studies. The organization also supports High School programs which help students develop STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) skills and interests.
Find out more about our local High School Robotics Club which we support, by clicking the button at the bottom of this page.
Please remember that due to the summer vacations there are no monthly meetings in June, July and August.
The organization was created under the initiative of Mr. Tony Nalepa who brought together a group of friends and volunteers, directing their efforts to create the scholarship fund.
Our Scholarship Fund
The principal source of our scholarship fund, in addition to member dues, originates from donations, our sponsorship of bingo and annual dances at the Polish Center (usually the Saturday before Thanksgiving).
Selected applicants are awarded financial assistance scholarships which are disbursed to the student's university account. To date, we have awarded scholarships to many successful applicants. Scholarship applications are being accepted throughout the year and the scholarships are being granted early October.
Please click on the Scholarship Application Tab above to apply.
Our association activities are based exclusively on volunteer work, performed by a membership from many different professions including engineers, scientists, technicians, doctors, nurses, journalists, teachers and business professionals. The variety of professional member specialties is broad.
Monthly gatherings occur 6:30 PM every 3rd Thursday at the address below, and include occasional presentations by members or guests from a variety of professions reporting on the interesting developments within their fields.
Due to summer vacations, there are no meetings in June, July and August.
We are continually seeking members with experience and desire to join us and be part of our mission to help students. A full engineering degree is not a membership requirement. Annual membership dues are $30.
